Midwestern Firm Leads Ohio with Comprehensive Media Law Practice
CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Faruki PLL, an established Dayton-based business litigation firm with a presence in Cincinnati, announces the addition of Jack Greiner and Darren Ford, two well-known, high-profile media law attorneys. Greiner and Ford will be integral to Faruki’s growth strategy in Southwest Ohio, aiding the firm in growing its already strong media practice, as well as supplementing the firm’s expertise in commercial litigation, employment & labor law, and consumer class action law.
“Highly respected and with the highest levels of integrity, Jack and Darren bring not only expertise, drive and experience, but they are both dedicated to excellence – one of our firm’s core values. They couldn’t be a better fit for Faruki’s culture and our growth plans,” noted Erin E. Rhinehart, Co-Managing Partner, Faruki. Founded in 1989, Faruki employs a staff of nearly 40, including 19 attorneys.
With more than three decades of experience, Jack Greiner is a highly sought-after authority on governmental transparency, having argued and successfully won numerous First Amendment cases in the Ohio and Kentucky Supreme Courts for clients including The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Associated Press and ESPN, among others. Most recently, Greiner successfully petitioned the court presiding over the Pike County murder trial of George Wagner (Ohio’s largest and most expensive murder investigation) to allow media access to key pieces of evidence presented in the courtroom. He has repeatedly been named to The Best Lawyers in America and recognized as “Lawyer of the Year”. Greiner served as an Adjunct Professor of Media Law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law for over fifteen years, and regularly contributes to various publications on media law topics.
Darren Ford’s practice spans more than a decade and focuses on communications and media law, labor and employment litigation, and consumer class action defense. He has represented numerous local and national media organizations, as well as clients in the restaurant, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and hospitality industries, such as Denny’s and Columbia Sussex Corporation. Ford has partnered with Greiner on numerous high-profile media and government access cases over the last decade, including the Pike County murder trials; defense of media outlets in lawsuits brought by Covington Catholic student, Nick Sandmann; and the Ray Tensing murder trials. He has been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star; and is a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky and the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL) program. Ford is also a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Cincinnati College of Law on public records and First Amendment law issues. Ford is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Kentucky.
