MONTGOMERY, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Alabama Mining Association (AMA) is seeking a new President to replace its current leader, who is stepping down at the end of the year to pursue a career in ministry.
AMA’s mission is to promote the safe and sustainable mining of the natural resources that strengthens the state’s infrastructure and grows our economy. The association represents companies in all segments of Alabama’s mining industry.
“AMA is a future-focused and fiscally healthy trade association that is helping its members thrive as the mining industry adapts to changing expectations from investors and our community stakeholders,” said Patrick Cagle, the outgoing President of AMA. “The future is bright for Alabama’s mining industry, and I am confident that AMA will continue to prosper during the tenure of its next leader.”
The next President of the Alabama Mining Association is a highly motivated self-starter who knows how to develop trusting and productive relationships with public officials, regulatory agency leaders, and government employees at all levels. As the public face of Alabama’s mining industry, the President must develop a robust understating of mining and be able to serve as the bridge between industry experts and decision-makers. The President embraces the challenge of developing and implementing a vision for the association that adds value to its members today and anticipates the future challenges and opportunities facing the mining industry. Furthermore, the President is an effective leader and administrator who keeps the Board of Directors informed, updated, and engaged.
Anyone interested in applying for this position should visit AMA’s website. The deadline to apply is the close of business on August 28, 2023.
